Mike Holloway wins his thirteenth national award and Jasmine Moore wins her third
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Head Track & Field Coach Mike Holloway and horizontal jumper Jasmine Moore both received United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor National Awards on Tuesday afternoon. Holloway was named USTFCCCA Outdoor Men's Coach of the Year and Moore was named Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
Head Coach Mike Holloway received Outdoor Men's Coach of the Year honors for the sixth time in his career. He previously won the award in 2022, 2017, 2016, 2013, and 2012. This is his eleventh Men's Coach of the Year honor, with six from outdoor seasons and five from indoor seasons. It is also his thirteenth National Coach of the Year award overall having won women's indoor and outdoor coach of the year in 2022. Holloway led the men's team to their second consecutive outdoor National Championship and the men's programs eleventh overall this season. He coached Gators 4x400 team to two collegiate records in 2023 and an NCAA Title in the relay.
Jasmine Moore received her first Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year Award and her third Field Athlete of the Year honor overall. She was previously named the 2022 and 2023 Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Moore was exceptional this season, scoring 16 points for the Gators at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, winning gold in the triple jump (14.78m/48'6") and bronze in the long jump (6.66m/21'10.25"). Her NCAA Title winning mark in the outdoor triple jump is the second farthest mark in the world this year. She also earned gold in both the long jump (6.88m/22'7") and triple jump (14.14m/46'4.75") at SEC Outdoors.
