Pearsall’s Grab Nets FWAA “Crazy Good” Play of the Week Honor

Pearsall is the fourth winner of the award in its inaugural season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Ricky Pearsall's one-handed, over-the-shoulder grab against Charlotte has netted him the FWAA "Crazy Good" play of the week. The new weekly award seeks to highlight displays of exceptional athleticism and strategy during each week of college football.
The award is presented by Florida Citrus Sports and Pop-Tarts and is selected each week by voters of the Football Writers Association of America. The winning team receives a care package from Pop-Tarts to celebrate its win.
Pearsall's 25-yard reception was one of his seven catches, finishing the night with 99 receiving yards and leading Florida in both categories. Pearsall is also Florida's leading receiver on the season, ranking sixth in receiving yards and fifth in receptions among SEC players.
Pearsall later said of the catch, "I feel like I probably could have jumped up and grabbed it with two, but I don't know what happens, but I just felt like doing it… Good thing I came down with it."
This is the first time that the "Crazy Good" Play of the Week has been awarded to a non-scoring play, further highlighting the jaw-dropping display of athleticism of Pearsall's snag.
