Looking in for the sign and ready to deliver for the 2024 Meet the Gators series is first-year right-handed pitcher Felix Ong out of Key West, Fla. The Key West High School product will rep No. 44 for the 2025 campaign.
Pitching under Head Coach and former second round MLB draft pick Ralph Henriquez, Ong held status as a four-year letterwinner at Key west. Tallying 122 2/3 innings in 43 games (20 starts) across his career, the righty worked to a 15-6 record while displaying an impressive 3.37 ERA, .219 batting average against and 13.1 strikeouts per nine.

In his sophomore and junior campaigns, Ong went a combined 15-2 with 129 strikeouts in 95 frames. That helped Key West post a strong 44-13 record across those two seasons.
During his senior year at Key West, Ong competed alongside his younger brother, Nelson, who was in his freshman season as an outfielder.
Also suiting up for 5 Star Key West and Conch Ball, Ong collected eight sets of all-tournament team honors at PG events as a prepster. Additionally, he was named PG Preseason All-Region for three-straight years from 2022-24, culminating with a first team nod prior to his senior campaign.
