GAINESVILLE, Fla. - 12 Gators from the No. 4/3 men's and women's swimming & diving teams headed back to Auburn, AL on Friday for the Last Chance Meet - Auburn Invitational inside the James E. Martin Aquatic Center.
 
Last chance meets, held after conference championships, are designed to give swimmers that are on the edge of NCAA qualification one last opportunity to improve times and odds at selection.
 
Florida recorded 12 total B-cuts from preliminary and the finals session.
 
Sean Sullivan saw the biggest improvement, shaving almost 6 seconds off his seed time in the 200 yard back. The freshman cut over three seconds off in the morning session to just barely make the B qualifying time of 1:44.60 by 0.01, but clocked a 1:42.94 in the finals session to affirm his improvement.
 
Amro Al-Wir also improved his seed time by over two seconds during 100 yard breaststroke prelims, recording a B-cut time of 53.36. The senior dropped even more time during finals to finish in 53.12.
 
The Gators will wrap up the last chance meet tomorrow, with prelims starting at 11 a.m. ET and finals at 4 p.m. ET, before turning attention to NCAA Championship competition at the end of the month.
