Clayton, Pullin to Compete at NBA G League Elite Camp
Friday, May 10, 2024 | Men's Basketball
Florida's dynamic 2023-24 backcourt pair of Walter Clayton Jr. and Zyon Pullin are both set to compete in the NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago on May 11 and 12.
The two-day event will give 45 NBA Draft prospects an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches and front-office executives. The athletes will participate separately in five-on-five games and strength and agility drills.
A select number of competitors will be invited to the 2024 NBA Draft Combine based on their performance in the G League Elite Camp.
UF's pair of All-SEC guards led the Gators in scoring this season as Clayton averaged 17.6 points per game and Pullin added 15.5, becoming Florida's highest-scoring duo in 20 years (Anthony Roberson, Matt Walsh, 2003-04). Pullin also set Florida's program record and finished third nationally with a 3.77 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Pullin has exhausted his collegiate eligibility, while Clayton has one year remaining at Florida if he elects to withdraw from the NBA Draft by May 29.
This marks the second straight year Florida has multiple participants in the G League Elite Camp, as both Colin Castleton and Alex Fudge competed in 2023, both eventually earning two-way contracts with the Los Angeles Lakers to open their pro careers.
