Gator Splashes
For their performance efforts against the Hoosiers, four Gators swept the SEC Swimmer and Freshman of Week honors on Jan. 7. Josh Liendo and Bella Sims were named SEC Swimmer of the Week, while Alexander Painter and Anita Bottazzo tabbed SEC Freshman of the Week.

Throughout the season, senior Julian Smith and freshman Anita Bottazzo have anchored themselves as the fastest 100 breaststrokers in the nation, while the men's 200 medley relay and the women's 800 free relay own the top time in Division I swimming.

Several Gators join the two breaststroke Gators in SEC rankings including sophomore standout Bella Sims, who owns the fastest 100 back, 200 back and 400 IM time in the league. Junior Aleksas Savickas holds the fastest 200 breast for the men's, while three Florida relays have also taken the top spot (men's 200 medley relay, women's 400 medley relay and 800 free relay).

About the Aggies
Director of Texas A&M Swimming & Diving Blaire Anderson and Texas A&M embark on a new era this season, as the men's and women's swimming & diving programs combined in April of 2024 following the retirement of women's head coach Steve Bultman. So far this season, the program has collected wins over TCU, BYU and league opponent Missouri, while the women have also defeated Houston. In Invitational action, the Aggies opened their 2024-25 season at the SMU Classic (Men: 5th, Women: 3rd) and swept their annual Art Adamson Invitational in November.
