Condon Garners Preseason AP All-America Honors

Florida junior Alex Condon has been voted to the five-man preseason Associated Press All-America team, the AP announced on Monday.
Condon, the Gators' top returning scorer from last season at 10.6 points per game, has also received a first-team All-SEC nod and Blue Ribbon Yearbook first-team All-America recognition this preseason. The Perth, Australia, native posted seven double-doubles during the Gators' 2024-25 national championship season, and his 103 offensive rebounds marked the third-most in a season in Florida history.
Florida has had just one first-team All-America honoree in program history, as Walter Clayton Jr. claimed the honor for his 2024-25 performance. Most recently, Joakim Noah received preseason AP All-America recognition ahead of the 2006-07 season.
Condon is joined on the Associated Press team by Braden Smith (Purdue, unanimous selection), JT Toppin (Texas Tech), Yaxel Lendeborg (Michigan) and AJ Dybantsa (BYU).
No. 3-ranked Florida's 2025-26 campaign begins Monday, Nov. 3, with the Gators set to face 13th-ranked Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas. The Gators open their home slate on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. vs. North Florida.
