Six Gators Selected In AUSL Draft Ahead of 2026 Season
Tuesday, December 2, 2025 | Softball
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Six former Gator softball players were selected in the 2026 Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Draft on Monday evening between the organization's expansion and allocation drafts.
Skylar Wallace, Amanda Lorenz, Kelsey Stewart-Hunter, Aleshia Ocasio, Kendra Falby and Korbe Otis represented Florida's six selections.
The first half of the evening was the Expansion Draft, allowing the AUSL's two newest teams, the Spark and Cascade, to draft unprotected players who are currently on a roster with one of the four AUSL teams: the Bandits, Blaze, Talons and Volts.
The second part of the night was the Allocation Draft, where all six teams had the opportunity to select players who opted into AUSL consideration, including athletes from the 2025 AUSL Reserve Athlete Pool and professional players from other independent teams and leagues.
Both Wallace (Bandits) and Lorenz (Volts) were each protected by their respective teams ahead of the draft.
Stewart-Hunter (Volts) and Ocasio (Blaze) will each remain on their original 2025 teams.
Florida graduate manager and 2025 AUSL Most Important Player and Hitter of the Year Erin Coffel (Bandits) was also a protected player and not eligible to be drafted by another team.
Expansion Draft
Pick 10 – Korbe Otis (Cascade)
Allocation Draft
Pick 32 – Kendra Falby (Cascade)
More details on the AUSL Draft structure can be found here.
In the spring, the remaining roster spots for each team will be filled by draft-eligible NCAA athletes who have been drafted in the AUSL College Draft.
Golden Tickets will be delivered to these drafted players.
