Hartman Invited to Silver Waves Media Power Lunch
Monday, February 3, 2025 | Men's Basketball
Florida associate head coach Carlin Hartman has been selected for the Silver Waves Media Power Lunch, held in San Antonio on April 3 ahead of this season's Final Four. The prestigious networking event for future head coaches will include more than 60 athletic directors, associate and assistant athletic directors, and university presidents.
A 25-year coaching veteran, Hartman is in his third season at Florida and has been an integral part of the Gators' success since 2022. Since Hartman's time on the Florida staff, the Gators have returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021, had the highest-scoring team in program history (85.7 points per game in 2023-24), earned the team's first top-10 road win since 2003, advanced to the SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 2014 and posted the third-largest win vs. a No. 1 team in the history of the sport.
Working closely with the frontcourt, Hartman's efforts helped the Gators finish in the top 10 nationally last season in rebounds per game, offensive rebounds per game and offensive rebounding percentage as Micah Handlogten and Tyrese Samuel became the first duo in Florida history to both grab 100 offensive rebounds. The team's +10.1 rebounding margin this season ranks No. 1 in the Southeastern Conference. In 2021-22, Colin Castleton earned USA Today SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors under Hartman's guidance.
Silver Waves Media has twice previously named Hartman among their top 50 impactful high-major assistant coaches in the country, including in 2022 soon after he joined the Florida coaching staff.
