
Frannie Hahn Added to Tewaaraton Watch List

The Gators lacrosse redshirt freshman was one of nine players added in the second round of additions.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Attacker Frannie Hahn was added to the Tewaaraton Watch List apart of the second-round additions, with the news announced Thursday afternoon. Hahn was one of nine players to be added, as she joins teammates Theresa Bragg and Kaitlyn Davies who were named to the watch list on Feb. 6.
The Tewaaraton honors the most outstanding male and female players in the sport, and is lacrosse's most prestigious award. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
The redshirt freshman leads the Gators in assists (31) and points (49), along with 18 goals, nine ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw controls through 10 games and five starts.
The Catonsville, Md. native has recorded two or more points in all 10 games this season, featured by two hat-tricks, three games of eight or more points and five outings with three or more assists. She tied the program record with eight assists on March 12 against Navy and became the sixth player in UF history to total 10 or more points in a game, with seven goals and three assists on March 1 against James Madison.
The Gators have now had 24 different players named to the watch list and a total of 47 nominations. 13 different players have made the top-25 list (18 total recognitions) along with five Tewaaraton Finalists (four different players).
The field will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees on April 17, before five men's and five women's finalists will be announced in early May. The Tewaaraton Award recipients will be chosen after the conclusion of the collegiate lacrosse season. The Finalists will be honored and the men's and women's winners will be announced on May 29 at the Tewaaraton Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
