Mia Williams Named SEC Co-Player of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore second baseman Mia Williams was named SEC Co-Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Williams' second career SEC Weekly honor is shared with Mississippi State's Ella Wesolowski.
Helping lead the Gators to a series win at No. 19 Ole Miss and a midweek victory at Stetson, Williams slugged a team-best 1.286 on the week and 1.455 against the Rebels.
In the series opener in Oxford on April 11, she tallied her first career multi-home run performance with a pair of solo shots.
Williams went 3-for-4 at the plate, matching her career-best of three hits, and recorded her second three-hit game of the season and career.
She slugged her third home run of the weekend in the series finale on April 13, a three-run home run, her team-best 16th long ball of the season.
Williams batted .545 (6-for-11) against Ole Miss with five RBI, a walk and a hit by pitch.
This is the Windermere, Fla., native's first SEC Player of the Week honor.
She was named SEC Freshman of the Week last season on March 12, 2024.
