Florida Lacrosse Tops Big 12 Preseason Poll as Seven Gators Earn Preseason Honors

The seven Gator athletes on the Preseason All-Big 12 team are the most by any team in the conference
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Lacrosse were picked to finish first in the Big 12, as they place seven players on the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Gators totaled 25 points with five first place votes, with Arizona State picked to finish second with 20 points. Colorado was picked to finish third, followed by UC Davis, Cincinnati, and San Diego State.
Theresa Bragg (Preseason Co-Defender of the Year), Kaitlyn Davies (Preseason Midfielder of the Year), Ashley Dyer, Gabby Greene, Frannie Hahn, Clark Hamilton and Gabbi Koury all earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors, with Bragg, Davies, Dyer, Hahn, and Koury each being a unanimous selection. Bragg (Second Team), Davies (First Team), Dyer (Honorable Mention, and Hahn (Second Team) each earned Preseason All-American Honors from USA Lacrosse magazine last week.
Bragg has earned her second Preseason All-Big 12 honor and Preseason Defender of the Year honor. She is coming off a 2025 campaign where she started all 23 games and totaled 23 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers, with eight games with at least two caused turnovers. She also earned three All-American honors (IWLCA First Team, ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention) at the end of 2025, while also be a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 Team and the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
Davies notched her second Preseason All-Big 12 honor and Preseason Midfielder of the Year honor from the Big 12. The senior midfielder ended 2025 with three All-American honors (ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Second Team and IWLCA Third Team), IWLCA All-South Region First Team, NCAA All-Tournament team, Big 12 Midfielder of the Year and unanimous All-Big 12 First Team Honors. The Wayne, N.J. native started all 23 games last season and tallied 51 goals, 8 assists, 48 draw controls, 34 ground balls and 25 caused turnover.
Dyer has earned her second Preseason All-Big 12 honor in her career in 2026. The Elkridge, Md. native led the team in ground balls with 41 and added 23 caused turnovers while starting all 23 games for the Gators in 2025. Dyer earned IWLCA All-South Region Second Team, All-Big 12 team and All-Big 12 Tournament team honors in 2025.
Greene brings in her first All-Conference honor after tallying 32 draw controls, 25 goals, three assists and 12 ground balls in her freshman season. The Edgewater, Md. native earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team at the end of the 2025 season and was a one-time selection of Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Hahn receives her first Preseason All-Big 12 honor in her career after finishing 2025 leading the team in assists with 59 and being second on the team in points with 92. The Catonsville, Md. native broke the season record for assist in a season with her 55th assist of the season against Mercer on May, 9. She earned three All-American honors (IWLCA, ILWomen and USA Lacrosse Third Team), IWLCA All-South Region team honors, All-Big 12, Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and Big 12 Freshman of the year honors at the end of the 2025 season.
Hamilton is another first recipient of Preseason All-Big 12 honors. The sophomore attacker finished the 2025 with 70 points and 55 goals. She finished the season with 11 hat-tricks and four games with five goals, including five goals in the Big 12 Tournament Championship game against Arizona State. The Powder Springs, Ga. native earned Big 12 Newcomer Team and Big 12 All-Tournament team honors at the end of the 2025 season.
Koury collects her first Preseason All-Big 12 honors of her career. A captain for the 2026 season, the junior midfielder set a career high in goals (20), assists (11) points (31), and draw controls (43) while appearing in 19 games in the 2025 season. The Birchrunville, Pa. native record six multi-goal games and was the only player on the 2025 Gators to record 20+ goals, 10+ assists and 40+ draw controls on the season.
No. 4/4 Florida kicks off their 2026 season on Feb. 7 when they take on No. 18/18 Loyola in Baltimore, Md. at 11 a.m.
