Blair and Koury Take Home Big 12 Player of the Week Honors

This is Autumn Blair’s first and Gabbi Koury’s second conference player of the week honors in their careers
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Autumn Blair and Gabbi Koury have been named conference players of the week by the Big 12 following their performances against Stetson and Navy this past week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Blair earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week and Koury secured Big 12 Midfielder of the Week. This is the second consecutive week that the Gators have had two players earn Big 12 player of the week honors.
Blair captures her first career player of the week award after posting three goals and one assist over the two games against Stetson and Navy. Against Stetson, Blair recorded her first multi-goal game of her career with her two goals in UF's 24-8 win. Following that performance, she would tally one goal and one assist in the top 10 matchup against Navy, for her second straight multi-point performance.
Koury earns her second career player of the week honor after posting four goals, one assist, six draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover in the games against Stetson and Navy. Against Stetson, Koury scored one goal and co-led the team in draw controls with four and against Navy her three goals and four points co-led the team alongside Boo DeWitt, and she recorded a ground ball, a caused turnover and two draw controls.
The Gators are back in action this weekend when they take on Mercer at Donald R. Dizney Stadium this Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m.
