Clark Hamilton Named to the Tewaaraton Top-25 Nominees List

She becomes the 19th player in program history to be named to the top-25 nominees list
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore attacker Clark Hamilton was named a Tewaaraton top-25 Nominee for the first time in her career, the organization announced Thursday night. Hamilton becomes the 19th player to earn this honor and the 24th total top-25 nominee in program history.
The Powder Springs, Ga. native has been the leader for the Gators' offense this season, currently leading the team in goals (51) and points (61). So far this season, she has scored in 13 of the 14 games this season and in 11 of those games, she has tallied at least a hat trick. Earlier this season she set a new career high in goals (7) and points (11) against Loyola, which earned her the IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 24 and the Big 12 Attacker of the Week on Feb. 25
The Sophomore became the 27th member of the 100-point club in the Gators 18-9 win against Penn and became tied with Emma LoPinto for the fastest to 100 career goals in program history after scoring her 100th against USF, her 35th game of her career. So far this season, she has been named the Big 12 attacker of the week three times, a second-team Inside Lacrosse midseason All-American, and an IWLCA national offensive player of the week.
The Tewaaraton Selection Committee will announce the five finalists in early May, with the finalists being invited to the Tewaaraton Award Ceremony on May 28th in Washington, D.C. This is the sixth consecutive season that the Gators have had a player be named a top-25 Nominee.

About The Tewaaraton Foundation
The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. Founded at the University Club of Washington, D.C., the award was first presented in 2001 with permission from the Mohawk Nation Council of Elders. "Tewaaraton" is the Mohawk word for lacrosse, and The Tewaaraton Award symbolizes lacrosse's Native American Heritage. The Tewaaraton Foundation ensures the integrity of the selection process and advances the mission of the Foundation. Each year, The Tewaaraton Foundation presents two scholarships to students from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy – the Mohawk, Cayuga, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, and Tuscarora Nations.
