Opening Statement:
?We made a decision that we were going to come out and compete and leave it all on the field and that?s what the young ladies did. It?s a game. Sometimes things don?t go your way but we fought all the way through the seven innings.?
On looking moving forward:
?I have 19 young ladies and no one has ever been to a regional. It was overwhelming and also exciting and a challenge for the young ladies. Once they settled down, they realized that we were able to compete. I?m pretty sure you guys are going to see us again.?
Freshman Tashayla Irvis
On her performance:
?Today, I realized that it?s either do or die. It?s either you?re going to win this game or you?re going to lose and I wanted to win. So, realizing that this could be my last game, I wanted to give my all and I didn?t want to have any regrets leaving this field and I also wanted to do it for my seniors, the girls on this team. I wanted to make sure that I gave my best effort for them because I know that they have had a good four years and I wanted to put everything out on the line for them.?
