Registration Instructions
- Follow the link at the bottom of page
- Pay $30 Tryout Fee through registration link
- Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with an upload link to submit your Highlight Reel.
- Create 1st Round Highlight Reel and submit between April 1st- 30th. Submissions are due by April 30th, 11:59 p.m. EST.
- Results & Invitations for in-person rounds will be emailed to participants in a rolling admissions fashion between April 1 - 30, 2025.
- All athletes moving forward to in-person rounds on campus will need to bring: Completed UF Cheer Application, Signed Liability Waiver, Copy of Current Physical, UF ID#, Copy of Gator1 ID or UF Acceptance Letter, Copy of unofficial transcript.
Round 1 - Rolling Virtual Submission

Highlight Reel Requirements/Instructions:
Part 1: Introduction
Please record a quick introductory clip of yourself with the following info:
- Name (First and last)
- Age
- Hometown
- Major
- Why did you choose UF?
Part 2: Tumbling
Can be one continuous video or 3 separate clips
- Best Standing Tumbling Skill with chomp
- Best Running Tumbling Skill with chomp
- Standing Tuck with a Gator Chomp at the end (Poms not required, but strongly encouraged)
SKILLS MUST BE PERFORMED ON HARD FLOOR/DEAD MAT/ OR GRASS WITH SHOES OR THEY WILL NOT BE JUDGED
Part 3: Stunting
- Participants may add up to 5 videos max that highlight their stunting capabilities.
- All videos must be filmed within the past 6 months
- Clips can be with different partners/groups.
- If you are a Top girl trying out for either coed or all-girl please include clips that highlight both types of skills.
- Suggested Stunting Skills:
- Coed: Toss Chair, Toss Toe, Walk-In Chair/Hands, Toss hands, Toss Extension
- All-Girl: Quick Toss Extension, Full-ups, Full-Arounds, BHS Up
Once all 3 parts are finalized, please edit into one continuous video.
Highlight Reel FAQ
- What do I wear for my Highlight Reel?

Ladies:
- Solid Color Tank Top or Sports Bra
- Solid Color Athletic Shorts/Spandex
- Suggested Hair: Half Up Half Down with Bow/Ribbon
- Suggested Makeup: Your preference of a “Gameday ready” look
Guys:
- Solid Color Athletic Shirt/Shorts/Shoes
- Clean Shaven/Gameday ready look is highly recommended
- Where do I submit my Highlight Reel?
- You must be registered for tryouts and pay the tryout fee to receive the video submission link. Register Here
- If I am still waiting for acceptance into the university, can I submit a video?
- Yes, but you must know acceptance status by June 2025 to make the team.

Results & Invites to in-person tryout rounds on campus will be sent out starting April 1st through April 30th, 2025. Instructions & next steps for those that make it to in-person rounds will be sent through the participant’s provided email.

Scholarships
The University Athletic Association and Mr. 2 Bits provide partial scholarships for all team members at the end of each semester. These scholarships are awarded based on years of participation, scholastic achievement and financial need. The UAA has no way of offering students scholarships prior to them being accepted into the University of Florida or making the team.
Refund Policy
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN BY UF CHEER/UAA ONCE PARTICIPANTS HAVE PAID AND REGISTERED FOR TRYOUTS.
ONLY PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS MAY PROVIDE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA WEBSITES.
