What is Your Gator Origin Story?
"We live in Pensacola, so it is a 5-hour drive one way, with a time change, to see an event. We try to schedule multiple events in a weekend to make the trip worthwhile. We have 5 boys between us and the youngest transferred to Florida and became a Rowdy Reptile some 20 years ago. We enjoyed the football games back then with him and would attend two or three games a year after he graduated. When COVID hit, we became hermits and did not go anywhere. Once we were ready to travel again in 2022, UF was hosting the SEC Softball Tournament, so we went since we had always wanted to see softball. Stayed for a few Baseball games to see the new stadium and we were hooked again on UF sports. Last year Volleyball had games on Friday and Sunday with football on Saturday. We decided to purchase season tickets for football since we were already in town. We have become season ticket holders for everything but Men's basketball. But who knows, maybe next year if we can find some good seats for MBB!"
What is Your Favorite Part of Game Day in The Swamp?
"Just being in the mix of all the people. Walking among the thousands outside the stadium and looking at the elaborate tailgates and such. The fans, and views inside the stadium, the UF band and cheerleaders, team warmups, everything is great! The energy is over the top. You must be there in person to really experience it all."
Why Do You Prefer Coming to Games vs. Watching on TV?
"To feel the positive vibes in The Swamp. To feel the excitement, and to experience the energy generated by 80K plus fans all cheering for the same thing. That is gator football in The Swamp! It is all about the noise and the excitement!"
What Would You Say to Somebody Who is Thinking about Buying Season Tickets?
"The tickets can be expensive, but with the 4-payment plan, they are very affordable. It is nice knowing that you have the same seats for every game. You can choose from so many areas that meet your affordability. Lock in your seats now so you do not have to pay third party rates later! All seats have a good view of the field and scoreboards. The Gator Aider bus transportation is a life-saver. Park in a large lot and let the bus driver do the rest to and from the game. No worries!"
