A native of Fresno and then Ridgecrest, Calif., Boyd earned his bachelor's degree in administrative management in 1989 from the University of Arkansas and received his master's in recreation management from UA in 1990. From 1991-99, he worked in the intramural sports program at the University of Florida and assisted in game-day operations for the Gator baseball and football programs between 1991 and 2006. Boyd was also the Regional Manager for DeConna Ice Cream for six years spanning 2000-06. When not handling the baseball team's equipment needs, Boyd enjoys spending time with his four children, Tommy, Katherine, Penelope and Alexandra.
