Biography

Enrolled at Florida in January of 2008 and made his Gator debut in 2010 after missing the first two seasons with chronic back issues… Granted an extra year of eligibility after missing three entire seasons due to injury… 2013: Appeared in seven games on the year, playing on special teams… Was enrolled in graduate school for the 2013 season… 2012: Saw action in 11 games… Finished the season with five tackles… 2011:Suffered a knee injury in August and did not play… 2010: Appeared in 11 games, making 10 starts… Missed the last two games of the regular season due to a right hamstring injury after playing in the first 10 games, starting in nine of them before returning to the starting lineup in the Outback Bowl vs. Penn State… Tied for eighth in the SEC in passes defended (0.80 per game)… 2009: Sidelined by back problems for the entire season… 2008: Suffered back problems in August and redshirted.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA:

Helped lead Boone to the Florida Class 6A title game… First-team Class 6A all-state selection as a senior… Selected to participate in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl… Hauled in an 80-yard touchdown reception in Boone’s win over Apopka and picked off two passes against Sarasota… Intercepted eight passes during his senior year… Two-way standout as a junior, picking off seven passes while registering 13 receptions for 213 yards and six touchdowns… Member of the ESPN 150 class… Four-star prospect by Rivals.com… Chose Florida over Georgia, Auburn and LSU.
