CAREER: Has appeared in 29 career games, making contributions on special teams and on the defensive front…Collected six tackles during his career, including a sack, forced fumble and fumble recovery…Enrolled at Florida in August of 2004 after transferring from Furman and joined the football team…Currently in graduate school pursuing his master’s degree.

2007: Part of defensive line rotation and received action in all 13 games during the year…Did not record a tackle in the season…Contributed on the kickoff return and punt units.

2006: Saw playing time on special teams in 10 contests, including the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game and SEC Championship Game…Saw action on the punt unit in the win over Florida State…Had a career day against Western Carolina, matching his career high with three tackles and recording both his first two career tackles for loss and his first career sack in the win…Saw time on the punt unit in the wins over Vanderbilt and South Carolina…Made his first tackle of the season on punt coverage in the win over Georgia…Saw special teams’ action in the Auburn game…Recovered his first career fumble on a muffed punt in the first quarter of the LSU game; the ensuing possession resulted in a touchdown for UF…Dressed but did not play in the UCF, Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama games…Saw action on the defensive line against Southern Miss.

2005: Saw action in six contests (Louisiana Tech, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi State, Florida State and Iowa) on the defensive line…Finished the season with three total tackles, including two solo efforts, as well as one forced fumble…Recorded one assisted tackle against Kentucky…Saw first action of the season against Louisiana Tech, posting two tackles and the first forced fumble of his career.

2004: Member of the scout team who did not see any game action.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Transferred from Furman University after one season (2003).

PREP: A four-year letterwinner at Eastside High School, graduated in June of 2003…Also ran track and field and participated in weightlifting.

PERSONAL: Was born on Sept. 25, 1984…His parents are Karen and Audo Alford…Active member of the Goodwill Gators who served as a volunteer at Shands Medical Plaza/AGH.
