- Provided the winning runs on April 9 at Florida State with a two-run pinch-hit home run off All-American Lacey Waldrop
- Knocked three of her six doubles on the season during the NCAA Tournament (May 17 vs. Stetson, May 28 vs. Baylor, June 3 vs. Alabama)

- Castro’s seven RBI were also the most in a game for a single player in the SEC in 2012

- Her pinch hit home run on a 3-2 count propelled the Gators to the 2012 SEC Tournament Championship Game
- One of just 14 SEC players to hit a grand slam in 2012, contributing to the Gators’ three on the year
