Overview
- Named to 2015 and 2016 coaches second-team All-SEC and 2016 AP third-team All-SEC.
- Led the Gators in rebounding all three seasons on the team and in scoring in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
- The first Florida player to join the 1,000-point club after transferring in to UF.
- His 1,220 career points at Florida rank 36th in school history.
NABC 2016 first-team all-district. - 2014 SEC Sixth Man of the Year, the second Gator to win the award, joining Chris Richard in 2007.
- Also earned a spot on the 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
- Had a career day with 22 points and 15 rebounds while getting the start in Florida’s 84-82 overtime victory at Arkansas, becoming the only player to post a 20-15 game on the road under Donovan.
- Enrolled at UF in Summer 2012 after one season at Virginia Tech.

2015-16, Redshirt Senior Season
- Named second-team All-SEC by the coaches and third-team All-SEC by the AP.
- Florida’s leading scorer (14.7) for the second straight season and top rebounder (8.3) for the third consecutive season.
- Finished the season with a team-best eight double-doubles, eight 20-point games and 10 double-figure rebound games.
- Became the first Gator since Chandler Parsons to tally three straight double-doubles and the sixth over the past 20 seasons, also joining Marreese Speights, David Lee, Udonis Haslem & Al Horford.
- Dorian Finney-Smith posted at least 20 points, six rebounds and three steals in back-to-back games vs. Vermont and FGCU, something no Gator ever did during the Donovan Era.
- Finney-Smith is also the first Gator since Joakim Noah (Feb. 22, 2006, vs. Tennessee) to record 20 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks, doing so vs. FGCU.
- Recorded back-to-back 20-point games for the first time in his career against Vermont and Florida Gulf Coast and did so again against Mississippi State and Auburn.
- Named Orange Bowl Classic MVP, leading the Gators with 16 points and nine points vs. Oklahoma State.
2014-15, Redshirt Junior Season
- Voted second-team All-SEC by the coaches.
- Florida’s leading scorer (13.1), rebounder (6.2) and 3-point shooter (.426).
- Scored a career-high 25 points in Florida’s win vs. Jacksonville, including a 5-for-7 performance from 3-point range.
- Posted three double-doubles, including two games with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds.
- Posted double-figure scoring 22 times, including 12 games with 15 points or more.
- Scored the game-winning dunk with 21 seconds remaining in Florida’s 52-50 win at Alabama, sealing the victory with a block on the defensive end of the floor.
2013-14, Redshirt Sophomore Season
- Named SEC Sixth Man of the Year, the second Gator to win the award (Chris Richard, 2007).
- Also earned SEC Academic Honor Roll placement.
- Florida’s leading rebounder, both in total rebounds (247) and per-game average (6.7).
- Had a strong showing in his Gator debut, putting up a career-high-tying 17 points against UALR, while going 3-4 from the 3-point line.
- Recorded his first double-double as a Gator - and the fourth of his career - at Jacksonville, tallying 14 points and 11 rebounds.
- Despite entering the game as the second sub versus Kansas, scored UF’s first points of the game on a made 3-pointer and went on to score 15 total points, shooting 4-for-6 from 3-point range.
- Made his first start donning the Orange and Blue in the 2013 Orange Bowl Classic vs Fresno State.
- Recorded the first 20/15 performance by a Gator in a road game during Donovan’s tenure, totaling a personal-best 22 points in the OT-win over Arkansas.
- Led the team in scoring with 16 points vs. LSU, including a career-best-tying four 3-pointers.
2012-13, Sophomore Season
- Redshirt season, per NCAA transfer regulations.
2011-12, Freshman Season (Virginia Tech)
- ACC All-Freshman and regular starter, averaging 6.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
- Played in all 33 games, making 30 starts.
- Earned a double-double in his debut, with 10 points and 16 rebounds against East Tennessee State.
- Scored a season-high 17 points in a 66-65 win over Boston College.
- Reached double-figure rebounds on seven occasions and had three double-doubles.
- Four-year letterwinner at I.C. Norcom High School.
- Two-time VHSL Class AAA Player of the Year and first-team all-state, all-region, All-Tidewater and all-district.
- Led team to back-to-back Group AAA championships, along with Eastern Region and District titles.
- Averaged 18 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks as a senior.
- Scored 19 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked three shots in the state championship game vs. L.C. Bird his senior season.
- All-Tidewater player of the year as a junior and co-player of the year as a senior.
