A reliable guard who supplies depth for the Gators… Enrolled at Florida after a four-year career at Southside Christian in South Carolina.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2009-10: Saw his first action of the season against Troy in Game 2 of the 2009 Legends Classic...Saw game action in the closing minute versus Florida State...Played in the final minute of UF’s 73-58 win over Rutgers in Atlantic City, N.J., as the Gators won the 2009 Legends Classic...Saw a season-best two minutes of play to conclude Florida’s 79-38 defeat over Presbyterian Dec. 30 in Gainesville...Played in the final minute of the Gators’ 72-58 win over LSU at home.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008-09: Saw a minute of playing time in the exhibition win over Warner… Ran the point in the final minute of the victory over Bradley...Missed the majority of the regular season after fracturing both wrists… Saw game action in the NIT opening-round victory over Jacksonville.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007-08: Made his first appearance of the season, earning minutes late in the second half against Tennessee Tech...Scored two points from the charity stripe against North Carolina State, while also collecting an offensive and defensive rebound...Ran the point for the last three minutes against North Florida, dishing out an assist... Saw a minute of playing time in the win over High Point...Saw a minute of playing time in the home win over San Diego State in the first round of the MasterCard NIT...Knocked down a pair of free throws in the win over Creighton in the second round of the NIT.
PREP: A four-year starter at Southside Christian, he also lettered in football (free safety, kicker) and in golf… The all-time leader in both points and assists at Southside Christian… His most memorable moment came in a game Southside Christian was down by three with 2.4 seconds remaining and in-bounding the ball at the opposite end of the floor – he hit a 30-foot three-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime and his team won in the extra session… In football, he was his school’s special teams MVP.
