National/International Competition: 
Represented Columbia at the 1996 Olympic Games, finishing 32nd in the 100-meter breast with a personal-best time of 1:05.22...claimed fourth-place in the 100 breast at the 1998 South American Games...finished second in the 100 breast at the 1996 South American Games...1996 Junior National champion in the 200 breast with a winning time of 2:02...placed 17th in the 100 breast at Winter Senior Nationals in 1996...six-time Colombian national champion in the 100- and 200-breast...top-eight finisher at the Alamo competition in 1995 and 96.

1998-99:
Won the consolation final at the SEC Championships in the 100 breast with time of 56.13...placed 16th at SECs in the 200 breast (2:05.05)...clocked career-best time in the 100 breast against Indian River, winning in 55.66...posted career best in the 200 breast against Michigan (2:03.87)...swam breaststroke legs on Gators' 200 and 400 medley relays.

1997-98:
Posted a season-best performance at the SEC Championships in the 100 breast (56.86)...additionally at SECs, swam breaststroke legs of UF's fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:29.20) and fifth-place 400 medley relay (3:17.95).

High School:
A 1994 graduate of Gimnasio Britanico...swam at the club level in Colombia for Comfenalco and holds 89 state records...swam for The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., from April 1995 through August '96 as a post-graduate through the International Olympic Committee...while at Bolles swam for current UF head coach Gregg Troy.
