AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2011): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Played in 17 games off the bench, was 1-for-3 (.333) and scored six runs...Came in as a pinch runner in game one of the CWS Championship Series when Brian Johnson opened the 11th inning with a single but was stranded as the potential tying run on second base… Pinch ran in the first contest with Georgia at the SEC Tourney...Played twice in the Kentucky series and was 0-for-1 with a walk...Scored on Jeff Moyer’s pinch-hit single in the eighth that gave UF a 3-2 lead against UCF… Scored twice as a pinch runner against Tennessee...Collected first hit at UF in game one versus Winthrop with a single and later scored...Came in as a pinch runner for Johnson in the ninth against Florida State at McKethan Stadium, stole second for his first career theft and went to third base on a wild pitch with none out...Was stranded though...Played in two of the games against Boston College but did not bat...Made Gator debut as a pinch runner for Preston Tucker in the seventh inning in the win over FAU...Advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on Austin Maddox’s single...Also played right field for three innings...Was hit by a pitch in his first plate appearance to start the ninth...Took second on a wild pitch, third on a fly-out and scored on a wild pitch.

(2010): Was sidelined for the entire season and received a medical redshirt.

GATOR FOOTBALL: (2009): Was not able to participate during the season due to an assortment of injuries which caused him to end his career on the gridiron...(2008): Earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second time… Member of the Gators’ 2008 National and SEC Championship team which finished 13-1 and defeated Oklahoma in the FedEx BCS title game… Dressed and saw game action in victories over Hawaii and Miami (Fla.)… Had surgery in September for a broken foot and missed the remainder of the season… (2007): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Redshirted and did not see any action… Dressed for home games against Western Kentucky, Troy, Tennessee, Auburn and Florida State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Lakeland High School for head coach Mike Campbell… Batted .415 with 18 stolen bases as a junior and graduated early so that he could enroll at Florida in Jan. 2007 to play football… Helped lead head coach Bill Castle’s Dreadnaught football team to its 45th-consecutive victory, third-consecutive Class 5A state championship and second-straight USA Today national championship in 2006 as a senior with 13 receptions for 268 yards (20.7 average) and two touchdowns in a run-oriented offense… Finished as the school’s all-time leader in receptions… Caught 36 passes for 489 yards and four touchdowns as a junior… During his sophomore season, Wilson totaled 42 catches for 629 yards… At the Army Combine held in Jan. 2006, he finished second out of 600 athletes in the 40-yard dash… Although he only ran track during his junior year, Wilson won the city, county and district titles in both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles… Was a member of the National Honor Society at Lakeland.
