Biography

Overview
  • The first commit to Coach Todd Golden and staff, Richard was the foundational member of the program and ultimately led Florida with 18 points and eight rebounds in the 2025 national championship game.
  • Tallied 1,275 points, 470 rebounds, 201 3-point field goals, 148 assists, 129 steals in 108 appearances with 105 starts over his three seasons at Florida.
  • Richard ranks 33rd on Florida’s all-time scoring list.
  • Graduated from UF in Spring 2025 with a degree in Sport Management.
  • Named to the SEC Tournament and Final Four All-Tournament Teams.

2024-25, Senior Season
  • Set career bests with 13.3 points per game, 531 total points, 80 3-point field goals, 74 assists, 66 steals, 81 free throws and 185 field goals.
  • Named to the Final Four and SEC Tournament All-Tournament Teams.
  • His 531 points rank 24th in single season in Florida history and fourth among transfers.
  • Nabbed 66 steals, the fourth-highest single season total in Gators history.
  • Named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team, leading the Gators with 18 points and eight rebounds in the national championship game. He scored 14 in the first half, half of the Gators' total at the break, to keep Florida in the game.
  • Scored 13 of his 15 points in the second-round win vs. UConn in the second half, helping the Gators rally for a Sweet 16 berth.
  • Named to the All-SEC Tournament Team, averaging 16.7 points per game to help the Gators bring home their first SEC Tournament title since 2014.
  • Led the Gators with 25 points in the win vs. #12 Texas A&M, matching a career high with six 3-point field goals.
  • Went for a career-high 30 points at Georgia, shooting 11-for-17 from the field and 5-for-11 from 3-point range.
  • Richard is the fourth Gator since 1996 to post consecutive 25-point games in SEC play, along with Colin Castleton, Anthony Roberson and Jason Williams. He is the fifth in that span to hit five or more 3-pointers in consecutive SEC contests, along with Roberson, Noah Locke, Brett Nelson and Kenyan Weaks.
  • Made the game-winning shot with 4.8 seconds left to lift Florida to a 70-69 win at South Carolina, capping a 14-point comeback. The shot gave UF its only lead of the game. Richard's game-winner also marked his 1,000th point as a Gator, as he became the 56th member of UF's thousand-point club and the third to do so after transferring in.
  • Scored 22 points in the win vs. North Carolina, shooting 8-for-10 from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range. Followed that with 26 points with six 3-pointers in the win vs. UNF and was named Dick Vitale's national player of the week following the UNC and UNF wins.
  • Part of the highest-scoring trio in Florida history along with Walter Clayton Jr. and Alijah Martin.
 
2023-24, Junior Season
  • Averaged 11.4 points and 3.9 rebounds, hitting a career-high 70 3-pointers (.345) while appearing in all 36 games with 35 starts.
  • Had 20 double-figure scoring performances, including six 20-point games.
  • Matched his season-high with 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting to lead the team in scoring in the win vs. #16 Alabama.
  • Knocked down 4 of 7 3-pointers and led the Gators with 23 points in the win against Mississippi State, following it up with an 18-point outing vs. UGA.
  • Hit five 3-pointers in back-to-back games vs. Grambling State and Quinnipiac, the first Gator to do so since Noah Locke in Feb. 2020.
  • Posted 15 of his 17 points after halftime in the double overtime win vs. Michigan, shooting 5-for-7 from the field over the final 30 minutes.
  • Earned Orange Bowl Classic MVP honors after scoring 19 of his 21 points in the second half, including a barrage of three 3-pointers in 90 seconds to go on a solo 9-0 run.
 
2022-23, Sophomore Season
  • Started 30 of his 32 appearances and averaged 10.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, second-highest on the team in both categories.
  • Was the Gators’ top 3-point shooter in volume and percentage at .398 on 51-for-128.
  • Earned 2023 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll honors for his performance in the classroom.
  • Had 18 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 24 points in the win at Georgia on 8-for-11 shooting, 5-for-8 from 3-point range.
  • Had a huge +26 plus-minus in the win vs. #2 Tennessee with nine points and a 2-for-3 night from 3-point range.
  • Posted 18 points vs. Xavier, including a 4-for-8 night from 3-point range
  • Scored 15 points with just five field goal attempts in his Florida debut after earning a starting role. Richard scored double figures in six straight games to open his Florida career, averaging 14.5 points over his first half-dozen games at UF.
 
2021-22, Freshman Season (Belmont)
  • Averaged 12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds with 30 starts in 33 appearances, posting a .468 field goal percentage and .804 free throw percentage.
  • Scored in double figures in 23 of 33 games, including 12 games with 15+ points.
  • Posted a personal-best 23 points at Samford and had 22 at Vanderbilt in the NIT.
  • Had two double-doubles, posting 11 points and 14 rebounds vs. Drake and 14 points and 10 rebounds at Tennessee Tech.
  • Added 41 steals and 27 blocked shots.

  • Member of Woodward Academy’s 2020 Georgia 4A state championship team as a high school junior, then earned GHSAA first-team All-State as a senior while averaging 24.0 points per game.
