
Eighteen Gators Chosen As CSCAA Scholar All-America Individuals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Twelve female and six male student-athletes on the Florida men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America individuals, the CSCAA announced this week.
To be chosen as a CSCAA Scholar All-America first-team individual, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Championships. Honorable Mentioned selections are held to the same GPA requirements and must have achieved NCAA "B" time standards in the pool or competed in a regional or zone qualifying diving meet.
Hannah Burns, Autumn Finke, Georgia Hohmann, Taylor Katz, Amelia Maughan, Mollie Pulte, Jessica Thielmann and Alyssa Yambor-Maul were women's first-team selections. Delaney Dye, Sierra Kuhn, Chelsea Lawson and Georgia Marris received Honorable Mentioned recognition.
On the men's side, Mitch D'Arrigo, Caeleb Dressel and Blake Manganiello received first-team honors, while Ben Kennedy, Christopher Margotti and Stanley Wu earned Honorable Mentioned.
Additionally, eight of these Gators will compete in the upcoming U.S. Olympic Team Trials for spots on Team USA. The trials will be held from June 26 to July 3 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Earlier this month, the men's and women's teams also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors for the spring 2016 semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
