Midway through the afternoon, Florida strung together what those within the program refer to as a 'Gator Hour.'
Within that span, sophomore Grant Holloway captured the long jump title, sixth-year senior Avione Allgood won the javelin throw crown, senior KeAndre Bates added five points with a fourth-place finish in the long jump, and redshirt freshman Connor Bandel grabbed four points with a fifth-place finish in the shot put.
Holloway popped off a pair of massive jumps. The Chesapeake, Va., native won the competition with a wind-aided mark of 8.32 meters (27 feet, 3.75 inches), putting him seven centimeters clear of the silver medalist. Within his six-jump series, Holloway also wind-legally jumped 8.17 meters (26 feet, 9.75 inches), moving him up to No. 5 on the school's All-Time Outdoor Top 10.
