The Gators got four goals each from senior captain Sarah Yohe and sophomore Abby Wambach. Wambach started UF's scoring early, hitting a 10-yd header off a Danielle Bass cross at 1:33. She would go on to score two more goals in the opening half, becoming the fourth UF player to register a hat-trick in a half of play. She added her fourth goal at 46:07, hitting another header from three yards off freshman Danielle Murphy's corner kick.

Yohe lighted up the scoreboard in the second half, adding three to the one she scored at 24:04 of the opening half. Her second half hat-trick started at 51:30, hitting an eight-yard shot to the right post. She scored again at 75:20 and finished UF's scoring for the evening at 84:41, heading the ball from six-yards off Bass' cross. It was the most goals scored in a match by either player. Wambach turned in three goals at Kentucky in 1998 and Yohe also had a hat-trick at Arkansas in 1997.

Freshman Erica "Boo" Schubert scored two goals Friday in her first start as a Gator. She replaced sophomore All-American Andi Sellers on the starting front line due to Sellers' being sidelined with mononucleosis. Schubert scored both her goals in the second half. Sophomore Karyn Hall also turned in a goal for UF Friday, hitting a 30-yard blast from the right side of the box.

For the fourth time in UF history, the Gators allowed no shots on goal in the match.

The Gators return to action Sunday, when they meet Arkansas. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the Percy Beard Stadium.
