The 15 treys was half of the Gators' 30 field goals made. Coach Billy Donovan was pleased with the type of shots his team was taking.
"What we started to do earlier in the year was our guards came down and were just letting it go. Now we're starting to dump it inside and now we're doing a better job of moving in the perimeter and now the ball is being thrown back out and we've got good shooters, that, when Udonis (Haslem), Brent (Wright) and Matt (Bonner) and those guys throw the ball out, we've got guys that can knock down three's."
The Gators gave up eight straight points to New Hampshire and had its lead trimmed to 18 early in the second half. But the Gators caught fire and went on a 32-2 run to build an 87-37 lead.
"We got the game going up and down," said Donovan. "They missed some shots which allowed us to fastbreak and get going and then things kind of snowballed for us. We were able to score, get the press on, score, get the press on, and the game started really getting up and down the floor."
Former Gainesville High School product Orien Green established a career-high with 13 points. New Hampshire native Matt Bonner scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Brent Wright also scored in double figures with 12 points. Greene, who's previous career career high was seven points, had 11 in the first half alone.
The Gators scored 100 or more points for the fifth time this season surpassing the old school record of four held by the 1986-87 team. They also improved to 10-1 for the fifth time in school history.
Florida will open both the 2001 and the SEC part of its schedule January 7th at South Carolina at 4pm.
