Four Football Players Named Freshman All-SEC

Gaffney set NCAA freshman receiving records this year with his 1,184 yards and 14 touchdowns. His 71 catches set an SEC freshman record and was only four shy of the NCAA mark in that category. Gaffney's 14 TD receptions this year led the SEC and tied for second nationally.
Grossman ranked third in the nation with his 161.81 quarterback rating on the heels of his 61.8% completion percentage (131-for-212), 1,866 passing yards, 21 TDs and seven INTs. The 21 TDs, which led the SEC, was just one shy of tying Danny Wuerffel's SEC freshman record.
Mitchell played in all 12 games and started each of the final eight games. He made 38 tackles on the season and 21.5 "Big Plays," a number which tied for third best on the squad. Mitchell posted 3.5 sacks and 14 forced QB hurries this year.
Harris moved from strongside linebacker to middle linebacker during fall drills and played in nine games this year, making four starts. Harris made 24 tackles on the year with a pair of "Big Plays."
