Divers Continue Success At Georgia Invitational

Florida freshman Nicole Bolt (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) finished third in the finals of the women's one-meter springboard, scoring 275.50 points and junior Hank Richardson (Houston, Tex./Memorial) came in fourth in the men's three-meter springboard finals with a score of 511.05 to lead the men's and women's diving teams in the second day of the Georgia Diving Invitational at the Gabrielsen Natatorium Saturday night.
Bolt scored 246.90 points in the preliminaries to advance to the finals, while teammate Sarah Close (Clearwater, Fla./Dunedin/Houston) placed seventh in the finals with 243.95 points. She scored 243.70 in the prelims to reach the finals. Only the top eight divers reached the finals in each event.
Following Close and Bolt, senior Robyn Grimes (Pennington, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) placed ninth with a score of 241.10 and freshman Kristen Connor (Gainesville, Fla./Buchholz) finished 21st with her score of 204.60.
On the men's side, Richardson reached the finals of the one-meter by scoring 527.90 in the prelims and 199.75 in the semifinals. Fellow junior Reggie Coote (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) finished 10th in the preliminary competition, scoring 460.40 points.
The Georgia Diving Invitational will conclude on Sunday with the divers competing on the platform.
