Gator Harrier 164th at NCAA Championship

The University of Florida junior cross country harrier finished 164th of 244 at the 2001 NCAA Cross Country Championships this morning at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. Ortiz finished the 10K race with a time of 31:38 in his first NCAA Championship appearance.
"He did pretty well," said Head Coach Doug Brown. "He ran about the best he could and beat about 100 people. At a race like this, that's pretty good."
