UF QB Named SEC Player of the Year; 10 All-SEC

University of Florida quarterback Rex Grossman was named the SEC’s Player of the Year on Wednesday in a vote of the league’s coaches. He was also one of six Gators to earn first-team All-SEC recognition with four others being named to the second All-SEC team. Grossman and WR Jabar Gaffney were two of the league’s four unanimous All-SEC selections.

Joining Gaffney and Grossman on the All-SEC first team are DE Alex Brown, OT Mike Pearson, CB Lito Sheppard and C Zac Zedalis. The Gators’ second team selections were WR Reche Caldwell, PK Jeff Chandler, LB Andra Davis and FS Todd Johnson.
