Gaffney, a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, made 67 catches this season for 1,191 yards (seventh best in SEC history) and 13 TDs. Gaffney set a NCAA Division I-A record by making 27 TD catches in his combined freshman and sophomore seasons. He became the first Gator ever to record over 1,000 receiving yards in consecutive seasons and one of only three players in SEC history to do so. Gaffney ranked second in the SEC and eighth in the nation this year by averaging 108.3 receiving yards per game. Though just a sophomore, Gaffney already ranks second best in school history and 11th best in SEC history with 2,375 career receiving yards and his 27 career TDs are fourth best in UF history and sixth best in SEC history. He holds the UF career record with 14 100-yard receiving games despite playing in only 23 games.
