UF Names Jerry Odom Inside Linebackers Coach

Jerry Odom has been hired to coach the inside linebackers at the University of Florida, Gator head football coach Steve Spurrier announced on Thursday.
Odom, a former Florida linebacker and a graduate assistant for the Gators for the past year, replaces Bob Sanders, who accepted the position of linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins on Thursday.
"We think Coach Odom is an outstanding young coach who will bring a lot of knowledge, energy and enthusiasm to his new position," said Coach Spurrier. "Coach Sanders has been an outstanding coach for us for the past 11 seasons and we wish him the very best with the Dolphins."
Odom lettered at Florida as a linebacker in l987-88-89-90.
