Senior center Udonis Haslem scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half and matched a career-high with 16 rebounds. LaDarius Halton scored 12 points while Matt Bonner and David Lee each hit for 11. The Gators had six players in double figures as they coasted to their 11th straight SEC win, tying a school record.
"It seems like every game, it's somebody else," head coach Billy Donovan said. "At Tennessee, it was James White. Against Vanderbilt, it was Matt Bonner. Here tonight, it was a couple of other guys."
Florida (15-1, 4-0 SEC) used a 9-0 run to open up a 47-26 first half lead. The Gators didn't let up in the second half as they twice built leads of 39 points. Donovan was pleased with the emotion the Gators displayed in winning for the 14th straight time.
"I thought we played with the intensity level and the passion that I want to see our basketball team to play with," Donovan said. "We're not 32 points better than LSU, but it happened to be one of those nights where we had it going and our intensity was very good. That was the difference in the game."
LSU was led by junior Ronald Dupree who scored 19 points.
With Georgia's 77-72 loss to Alabama Wednesday night, the Gators have moved into the lead in the SEC East. The Gators host the 'Dawgs Saturday at noon in the O'Connell Center.
