Lady Gators Fall to 17th at TRW Regional Challenge

After finishing in ninth in the first round of the 2002 TRW Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., the University of Florida women's golf team fell to 17th place with a two-round score of 622 (308-314). Tulsa leads the field, shooting a 283-292--575 after two days.
Individually, Brittany Straza (Ft. Myers, Fla.) improved her first round score by 10 strokes, turning in a 148 (79-69) to lead the Gators and finish in a tie for 13th place overall. Jeanne Cho (Bradenton, Fla.) followed, carding a 153 (75-78) to finish in a tie for 31st place. Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) finished tied for 74th with a 161 (76-85), while Whitney Code (Tampa, Fla.) and Joy Stephenson (Ft. Myers, Fla.) finished tied for 79th at 162.
The final round of the TRW Regional Challenge begins Wednesday at 9 a.m. Pacific time.
