Freshman Whitney Code (Tampa, Fla.) led the University of Florida women's golf team into second place after the second day at the Florida Women's Collegiate Golf Tournament Saturday. The Gators, who shot a two-round 599, are six strokes behind leader Florida State, which shot a 593.
Junior Jeanne Cho (Boulogne, France) continues to lead the Gators in scoring with a 147 (74-73) for a fifth-place finish, followed by freshman Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) in a tie for seventh with a 150 (76-74). Both Brittany Straza (Ft. Myers, Fla.) and Code finished tied for 10th with two-round scores of 151. Sophomore Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) rounded out Florida's scoring with her 160 (80-80) to finish tied for 32nd.
Sunday's final round is a shotgun start that begins at 8:30 a.m.
