UF Men's Tennis Doubles Team Defeated at NCAAs

University of Florida junior Chris McDonald (Gainesville, Fla.) and freshman Hamid Mirzadeh (Wellington, Fla.) were defeated in the first round of the 2002 NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championship. Illinois' Michael Calkins and Amer Delic, the fourth-seeded team in the 32-team doubles bracket, handed McDonald and Mirzadeh a 6-2, 6-2 loss Thursday afternoon at the Texas A&M Tennis Center.
The team of McDonald and Mirzadeh finish the season with a 21-11 record and currently hold the No. 21 position in the national rankings.
