Florida Men's Tennis Advances To Semifinals

The University of Florida men's tennis team competed in the second day of the Seminole Fall Classic held at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center on the campus of Florida State University on Friday. Three of four Gators competing in singles matches advance to the semifinals, and two of Florida's doubles teams will compete in the finals Saturday.
"Obviously it was a good day for the Gators," head men's tennis coach Andy Jackson said. "We will win the doubles, and three of four of the singles players will be in the semifinals tomorrow. I felt it was a very good day."
In the second round of the Singles A draw, Eleazar Magallon, Matt Behrmann, Janne Homia and Olivier Levant each won their matches. Troy Hahn lost to Pablo Martinez (Troy State) and did not advance to the third round. In the Singles A draw third round action, Homia, Magallon and Levant each won their match and will advance to tomorrow's semifinal round. Magallon defeated fellow Gator Matt Behrmann in three games (3-6, 6-2, 6-1). In the Singles B draw Jordan Dolberg was the only Gator to reach Saturday's quarterfinals, defeating Christoph Meuller 6-3 and 6-2. Florida's Doubles A Draw teams of Levant and Magallon, and Holmia and Johnson won their third and fourth round matches and will compete Saturday in the finals.
Action at the Seminole Fall Classic will conclude on Saturday with matches set to begin at 10 a.m.
