Swimmer Competes in World University Games

Junior Maureen Farrell (Northridge, Calif.) placed seventh in the finals of the 100-meter back on Thursday at the 2003 World University Games at the Duryu Swimming Pool.
Farrell finished with a time of 1:03.34 in the back after posting the fifth-best time in the prelims (1:03.24).
Farrell earned six All-America honors and seven All-SEC honors during the 2002-03 season.
The swimming portion of the World University Games continues through August 30. The women's swimming and diving team begins its season Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 against Michigan at 6 p.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
