Swimming Wraps Up At U.S. Spring Nationals

Former Gators highlighted performances on the final day of competition Saturday at the 2004 ConocoPhillips U.S. Spring Nationals at the YMCA Aquatic and Family Center.
Former Gator Olympian Bryan Kim took sixth in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:04.89, while former Florida All-American Eric Donnelly finished fourth in the B final with a mark of 2:05.86.
In the 1,500-meter freestyle, former Gator Olympian Ricardo Monasterio placed ninth with a time of 15:39.72, while sophomore Michael Berger (Frankfurt, Germany) took 25th with a season-best time of 16:04.28.
The Florida 400-meter medley relay team of senior Jonathan Strauss (Miami, Fla.), freshman Scott Mullervy (Hightstown, N.J.), freshman Andrew Swenson (Daytona Beach, Fla.) and sophomore Bryan Yasinsac (Tallahassee, Fla.) finished 17th with a time of 4:07.82.
On the women's side, former Gator Olympian Renate duPlessis took fifth place in the C final of the 50-meter freestyle as she touched the wall in 26.66.
