Even though the Lady Gators had a five-stroke improvement Monday, the No. 12 University of Florida women's golf team slipped to ninth place at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at the Dorado Del Mar Golf Course. Florida has a two-round total of 615 (310-305).
"We had a better round today," Florida head coach Jill Briles-Hinton said. "You must be competitive, and you have to improve. And that's what we're trying to do. We need to take it one stroke at a time and stay on task. We hope to finish strong tomorrow."
