McGriff Joins Gator Football Radio Network As Color Analyst

Lee McGriff will join the Gator Radio Network as football color analyst for the 2004 season, the University Athletic Association and the Gator Radio Network announced on Wednesday.
McGriff, who previously served as the Gators' football radio color analyst from 1987-1993, played football at the University of Florida from 1971-74 and was an assistant football coach at UF from 1978-1982. As a player, McGriff caught 87 passes for 1,551 yards and 13 touchdowns.
"We are thrilled to have Lee McGriff rejoin the Gator Radio Network team," said Mike Hill, assistant athletics director for external affairs. "His insight, perspective and passion for Gator football make him a terrific fit for our broadcasts, and Gator fans can look forward to many exciting calls with the Voice of the Gators, Mick Hubert, and Lee McGriff in the booth."
McGriff replaces Scot Brantley, who served as the Gators' radio color analyst from 1997-2003. Brantley has been offered a new role with the Gator Radio Network football broadcasts which he intends to accept.
"I'm a Gator through and through, and I look forward to being a part of the Gator Radio Network team in the future," said Brantley.
