Divers Compete at NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

Members of the University of Florida men and women’s diving teams competed in day one of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships held at the Gabrielsen Natatorium Friday.
Junior Nicole Bolt (Orlando, Fla.) took eighth on the one-meter springboard with a score of 540.50. Senior Kristen Connor (Gainesville, Fla.) was close behind with a score of 538.20 to finish in 10th place. Sophomore Jessica Ranieri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) finished 19th in the preliminary competition with a score of 242.00.
Junior Zach Wilcox (Yarrow Point, Wash.) was the top Gator finisher on the three-meter, taking 13th place with a score of 509.20. Freshman Justin Schmidt (Falcon, Colo.) finished in 35th place in the prelims with a score of 241.00.
The NCAA Zone B Diving Championships will continue Saturday with the men's 1-meter event beginning at 10 a.m., and the women's 3-meter slated to start at 3:45 p.m.
