Wilcox Takes Platform Title, Miller Leads Gator Women With 11th At OSU Invite

Jonathan Wilcox (Bellevue Wash.) claimed victory in the platform diving event at the Ohio State Invitational Sunday afternoon. Wilcox notched a score of 336.90 to capture the win over the 12-competitor field at the Ron O'Brien Diving Well in the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
On the women's side, Alicia Miller (Hobie Sound, Fla.) posted a total of 163.26 points to lead the Gator women's divers in 10th-place, while Whitney Stern (Safety Harbor, Fla.) scored 155.61 in the platform diving competition to finish out the third and final day of the Invite in 11th-place.
The Gator men's and women's diving teams will return to the water January 7, 2006 with a dual meet against Penn State. The meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m. at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center Natatorium.
