Former University of Florida running back Emmitt Smith will join the NFL Total Access broadcast team for the up-coming season.
The NFL's all-time leading rusher will work as an analyst, providing his fresh-from-the-field perspective on each Monday edition of NFL Total Access. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time Super Bowl champion will review each weekend's games as part of Total Access' two-hour show leading into Monday Night Football. After MNF concludes Emmitt will return to offer his analysis on the one-hour post-game show.
NFL Total Access airs on the NFL Network, Monday through Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET and is the only year-round show on television dedicated to the NFL.
Smith played for the Gators from 1987-89 and complied 3,928 career rushing yards, second all-time in Florida history. He holds the Gator's single-season record with 1,599 rushing yards in 1989 and earned first-team All-American honors. Smith was named SEC Player of the Year by the league coaches in 1989. He finished seventh in the 1989 Heisman Trophy balloting and held 58 Florida records following his junior season.
