Men?s Tennis In Action At ITA All-American and Bollettieri Invite

Several members of the University of Florida men's tennis team were in action today as two competed at the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla., while the rest of the squad played in the Bollettieri Invite in Bradenton, Fla.
Junior Greg Ouellette (No. 26) was edged in his main draw round of 16 match against No. 6 Somdev Devvarman (Virginia) at the All-American 7-6(4), 4-6 6-3. Junior Nestor Briceno (No. 45) picked up a victory to make it to the quarterfinal round of the consolation singles draw as he took a straight set victory against No. 78 Eidy Igarashi of Old Dominion (6-4, 7-5). With the victory, Briceno will face No. 67 Christian Groh (San Diego State) in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Results from the Bollettieri Invite were incomplete and will be posted on www.GatorZone.com as they become available. UF did win half of the 10 matches it played. The Gators squared off against members of the teams from Kentucky, Armstrong State and Texas A&M.
