Ouellette Drops Opening Match At ITA National Indoor Championship

University of Florida men's tennis junior Greg Ouellette gave Notre Dame's Stephen Bass (No. 21) a test before falling in the opening round at the ITA National Indoor Championship in Columbus, Ohio, Thursday night (7-6, 3-6, 7-5).
Ouellette, ranked 26th nationally, won the Region III qualifying tournament last month in Lexington, KY, with a 7-0 showing on the indoor courts to qualify for the indoor national championships. Ouellette will make at least one more appearance at the event as he will move into the consolation draw to be played Friday night.
The ITA National Indoor Championship is the second of three national tournaments for singles and doubles during the 2006-07 collegiate tennis season.
